:The reports section of the DRMS is where to want to go to analyse your organisations historic demand response event participation data which is split into two sections:
:
* Organisations Statistics
* Individual Event Breakdown

=====11.1 Organisations Statistics=====
:The organisation statistics can be found on a vertical panel on the left-hand side of the reports screen of the DRMS. The statistics that are offered to you are:
* Registered MW Amount
* Number of Events Called
* Number of Events Participated
* Average Event Length
* Average Offer Price
* Average Offer MW
* Average Requested MW
* Average Performance
* Total Payments
:
: The default of the DRMS is to present the statistics of all your registrations from the last 12 months. However, these statistics can optionally be filtered by:
* Date
* Registrations
* Programmes
* Organisations
* Events
* Tags
:
:These filters will allow you to take a more detailed looking at specific aspects of your organisations participation in demand response events.
=====11.2 Individual Event Breakdown=====
:From the default reports page of the DRMS all the historic event that your organisation has participated in are listed in blue down the centre of the screen. Each line entry has the programme name the event was called under, the capacity your organisation delivered during the event as well as the date and time of said event.

=====10.1 Submitting Meter Data=====
:If an organisation is required to provide meter data in response to events a ‘Child Events Pending Meter Data’ Task will appear in the task bar as well as additional notifications. Meter data exists at a site level and therefore you need to submit the meter data for each site associated with a registration before the settlement can be calculated for said registration.The file formats that can be uploaded into the DRMS via the meter data upload screen are:
* EIEP3
* EIEP13a
* DRMS Custom Format
: To find the meter data upload screen you need to click on the meter data link from the menu and transition from the default ‘Sites’ display to the ‘Uploads’ screen in the top left-hand corner of the DRMS.

=====10.2 Viewing Meter Data=====
:Each month on approximately the fourth data the previous months meter data will be uploaded for each of your organisations sites. This meter data as well as any other historic meter data can be view in the Meter Data viewer which is the default screen under the Meter Data screen. In the meter data viewer, you are able to look back at historical meter data by using the date selectors. Additionally, there are other feature you can use to specify the meter data you want to view. You can restrict the meter data viewer using the following functions:
* GXP’s
* Registrations
* Sites
* Flow Direction (X, I, X-I)
* Whether or not to sum sites
: You are also able to export whatever meter data you are viewing from the system assuming you have deselected the ‘Sum Sites’ button. This export can be completed in either a vertical or horizontal format.

=====10.3 Calculating Settlements=====
:The settlement for each registration for each event is calculated once the meter data for the associated sites had been uploaded into the DRMS. The settlement is calculated by determining the percentage of the capacity scheduled into the Demand Response event vs what the capacity delivered was. This percentage is call the performance percentage and when this value is multiplied by the dollar per megawatt hour value agreed upon in the opting phase of the corresponding event the settlement is known.

=====9.1 Opting Process=====
:Opting for an event is a fairly simple process. When you receive your event offer window open notifications and have logged into the DRMS the corresponding events can be found in the event screen in the top left-hand corner of the dashboard. By clicking on said event you will be able to identify the date and time of the event as well as the requested kW’s and offered dollar per MWh value. You have the option to either opt in (if you want to participate) or opt out (if you don’t want to participate). Additionally, if you do choose to opt into the event you have the ability to adjust the requested kW’s and offered dollar per MWh value downwards to best suit your capabilities in different circumstances.
:
=====9.2 Event Status’s=====
:When scrolling through the full events screen of the DRMS you will be able to see the events transition between the different event status’s that can occur. The standard event status’s progression that you will see an event progress through are:
:
{| class="wikitable"
|-
||'''''Additional Event Status’s'''''
|-
||''Declined''
||A declined status will occur if your organisation either opts out or doesn’t opt when your organisations registration is called for an event. A declined status is a final status and will not progress further.
|-
||''Withdrawn''
||A withdrawn status will occur if it is identified that your organisation opted into an event but did not respond at the time of the event (did not participate). If this is the case that event will be withdrawn before reaching the settlement stage. A withdrawn status is a final status and will not progress further.
|-
||''Ineligible''
||An ineligible status will occur if your organisation is called for two simultaneous events and you opt into both. One event will be processed into a scheduled status and the other to an ineligible status. An ineligible status is a final status and will not progress further.
The server implements an OpenADR VTN capable of interacting with VENs in both Push and Pull modes over both HTTP and XMPP transports. They support two-way communication with the VTN and are capable of acknowledging the receipt of an event.In the majority of the cases, OpenADR devices will be configured to use the OpenADR Poll service and will poll the VTN at regular intervals.Some OpenADR devices are smart enough to send back reports that the VTN will store for further analysis.
We use this status update to determine which devices can be treated as online, and store the additional information for future use.

:
===7.1 Device Types===
The DRMS has has significant enhancements allowing the support of specific smart devices. Currently the DRMS support three different device types:
* OpenADR 2.0b and 2.0a compliant devices
* Future Point
* Ambi Climate

'''OpenADR Devices'''These devices follow the OpenADR specification (https://www.openadr.org/specification). '''Future Point Devices'''''''''These devices use the DREDs protocol. Our application connects to them via a set of API endpoints that were created for us on the Future Point / Without Wires cloud service. Since DREDs itself is not an internet based protocol; our application cannot use it directly. '''Ambi Climate Devices'''''''''These devices are controlled via the Ambi Climate cloud service. Ambi Climate has created a set of specific endpoints for our application on their API. We have an authorization token which only grants access to these endpoints. Once per 5 minutes: Ambi Climate also pushes a status update to one of our endpoints. We use this status update to determine which devices can be treated as online, and store the additional information for future use.

Once a device has been created in the system a green dot will appear next to device name. By hovering over the green dot, you will be able to determine the last time the device had communicated with the DRMS. If the dot next to the device name is ever hollow that means that the device is no longer communicating with the DRMS. If this does occur please contact the Demand Response team via the contacts in the ‘Support’ tab.
===7.2 Creating Devices===
When creating a device associated with a site the information that is needed is:
* The devices name
* The Device Type
* The Devices VEN ID
* DRM Capacities at different levels

The reports section of the DRMS is where to want to go to analyse your organisations historic demand response event participation data which is split into two sections:
:
* Organisations Statistics
* Individual Event Breakdown

===11.1 Organisations Statistics===
The organisation statistics can be found on a vertical panel on the left-hand side of the reports screen of the DRMS. The statistics that are offered to you are:
* Registered MW Amount
* Number of Events Called
* Number of Events Participated
* Average Event Length
* Average Offer Price
* Average Offer MW
* Average Requested MW
* Average Performance
* Total Payments
*: The default of the DRMS is to present the statistics of all your registrations from the last 12 months. However, these statistics can optionally be filtered by:
* Date
* Registrations
* Programmes
* Organisations
* Events
* Tags
These filters will allow you to take a more detailed looking at specific aspects of your organisations participation in demand response events.
===11.2 Individual Event Breakdown===
From the default reports page of the DRMS all the historic event that your organisation has participated in are listed in blue down the centre of the screen. Each line entry has the programme name the event was called under, the capacity your organisation delivered during the event as well as the date and time of said event.

:
===10.1 Submitting Meter Data===
If an organisation is required to provide meter data in response to events a ‘Child Events Pending Meter Data’ Task will appear in the task bar as well as additional notifications. Meter data exists at a site level and therefore you need to submit the meter data for each site associated with a registration before the settlement can be calculated for said registration.The file formats that can be uploaded into the DRMS via the meter data upload screen are:
* EIEP3
* EIEP13a
* DRMS Custom Format
*: To find the meter data upload screen you need to click on the meter data link from the menu and transition from the default ‘Sites’ display to the ‘Uploads’ screen in the top left-hand corner of the DRMS.

===10.2 Viewing Meter Data===
Each month on approximately the fourth data the previous months meter data will be uploaded for each of your organisations sites.
* GXP’s
* Registrations
* Sites
* Flow Direction (X, I, X-I)
* Whether or not to sum sites
*: You are also able to export whatever meter data you are viewing from the system assuming you have deselected the ‘Sum Sites’ button. This export can be completed in either a vertical or horizontal format.

===10.3 Calculating Settlements===
The settlement for each registration for each event is calculated once the meter data for the associated sites had been uploaded into the DRMS.

===9.1 Opting Process===
Opting for an event is a fairly simple process.
:
===9.2 Event Status’s===
When scrolling through the full events screen of the DRMS you will be able to see the events transition between the different event status’s that can occur. The standard event status’s progression that you will see an event progress through are:
||Event is in an active state - participants should have shed load at this stage
|-
||''Completed''
||Event is finished - settlement can begin
|-
||''Meter Data Required''
||Event is finished, meter data is required to settle
|-
||''Meter Data Submitted''
||Event is finished, and meter data required for settlement has been detected
|-
||''Payment Complete''
There are three other status’s that an event can be in under certain circumstances. The status’s and the descriptions are in the table below:
:
{| class="wikitable"
|-
||'''''Additional Event Status’s'''''
|-
||''Declined''
||A declined status will occur if your organisation either opts out or doesn’t opt when your organisations registration is called for an event. A declined status is a final status and will not progress further.
|-
||''Withdrawn''
||A withdrawn status will occur if it is identified that your organisation opted into an event but did not respond at the time of the event (did not participate). If this is the case that event will be withdrawn before reaching the settlement stage. A withdrawn status is a final status and will not progress further.
|-
||''Ineligible''
||An ineligible status will occur if your organisation is called for two simultaneous events and you opt into both. One event will be processed into a scheduled status and the other to an ineligible status. An ineligible status is a final status and will not progress further.
This is because any new registration in the DRMS needs to be approved by a member of the Demand Response Team at Transpower.Please be aware that the sites associated with a registration must lie on the same GXP otherwise the registration will not save and present you with a red error banner across the top of your screen.

===8.3 Deactivating a Registration===
If at any stage your registration is no longer valid you can deactivate it in the DRMS by clicking on the pencil in the top left corner of said registration. By changing the end date on the registration to the day before the present day and saving the registration will transition to a deactivated status and disappear from the list of your current registrations. Please do not delete existing registrations to remove said registration from active status as this cant cause serious issues with historical event and settlement information.
====Event Types====
Two types of event exist in the DRMS, price response and non-price responsive.
:
* Price responsive events progress through an offer window process after they have been submitted.
* Non-price responsive events do not go through an offer window and instead proceed straight to scheduled.

:
====Offer Window====
Before the event is scheduled it goes through an offer window process. During this time participants can agree to make an offer in the DR event.A participant can respond to an offer to participate by opting in or out of the event and optionally decreasing their offered price or kW amount.

''Non price-responsive events skip the offer process.''

: ''''
:
====Event Notifications====
The following notifications are sent over the life-span of an event:

:
:
* Child Event Offer Window Open
* Child Event Offer Window Closed
* Child Event Scheduled
:
* Child Event Dispatch Reminder
* Child Event Active
* Child Event Completed
* Child Event Meter Data Required
* Child Event Invoice Created
* Child Event Cancelled
* Child Event Declined
* Child Event Withdrawn
:
===Auto DR Events===
These are events that allow participation from Devices and are smart enough to automatically deliver the event details to the accepted devices. This removes the need for human interaction during event time. Load should be shad automatically.AutoDR events are built on top of existing Price Responsive / Non Price Responsive concepts. AutoDR is enabled at the programme level by enabling any of the 3 supported device types and defining mappings between the 3 AutoDR levels and native device signals.Defined AutoDR levels
* Low
* Medium
* High
Supported device types:
* OpenADR
* Ambi Climate
* Future Point
The lifecycle of the Price Responsive / Non Price Responsive event remains unchanged. The only differences are:
* for Price Responsive events, during the biding process, the participant can decide what devices he/she wants to be signed up for the event and what DR level is willing to accept. This basically allows the participant to change the amount of AutoDR kW offered. The amount of kW delivered by devices will add on top of any manual kW that the participant may deliver.
* for Non Price Responsive events, the market operator has to chose one of the AutoDR levels that apply for the event. This level, together with the programme's AutoDR mapping, dictates what native signal will be sent to each device participating in the event.
* when the event transitions into the scheduled state, the server will automatically send a native event to all devices enrolled in the event informing them of the start of the event, duration of the event and what signal or what level they should switch to during the event. Devices are expected to switch back to the default state once the event has expired.
* when an event transitions into the canceled state, the server will automatically cancel all the events it has previously delivered to enrolled devices.
* Device eligibility for participation into an event is dictated by what type of devices were enabled on the programme. Furthermore, a device has to be fully registered before it is allowed to be part of an event.There is no guarantee that a device will actually be online at the time of the event. The server follows a best effort approach where events are sent to all participating devices regardless of the server's current knowledge about the VEN's online/offline status. However, in order to mitigate this issue, the server will notify the appropriate users as soon as it detects that a device has gone offline.

Existing sites registered under your organisation can be viewed via the ‘My Organisation’ tab. In the top right-hand display there is a ‘Sites’ button shown in Figure above.

:

Image

:

The above figure demonstrates the information that is displayed when you click on each site:
:
* Name
* Address
* ICP Number
* Meter ID
* kW Amount
* GXP (Grid Exit Point)
* Organisation
* Meter Owner
* Distributor
* Retailer
* Verification Method
* Status
* Flow Direction
* Programmes

===Creating New Sites===
However, you don’t necessarily need to know all this information prior to creating a new site under your organisation in the DRMS. This information that you will need to know before creating a site is as follows:
* The name you want to call the new site
* The associated ICP number and preferably the meter number
* The load type and the loads capacity
* The verification method you would like to use for the new site
*: If you have this information and perhaps not all of the other information listed under ‘Existing Sites’ you can use the following link to the electricity authority website. If you enter the ICP Number and press submit the remaining fields for a new site can be filled.https://www.ea.govt.nz/consumers/your-power-data-in-your-hands/my-meter/

===Load Types===
The load available at a site is split by load type. The current load types displayed in the DRMS are:
* Lighting
* HVAC
* Generation
* Pumping Equipment
* General Load Control
* Hydro + Storage
* Battery
Additional load types will be added to the DRMS as the need arises.When a site or substation is saved with a non-zero amount of load for a given load type, it is automatically tagged with the same load type so that this can be searched upon.

===Verification Methods===
When creating a new Site or Substation, a verification method is selected. This method describes the calculation method used to calculate the baseline and load shed after an event has completed. The verification methods currently offered on the DRMS are:
* 3 day SAA
* 5 day SAA
* Meter Before – Meter After
